The goal of this step is to ensure that your current strategic direction and competive differentiation are well defined, have strong Leadership and Stakeholder consensus and buy-in, have strong alignment with the enterprise, and are being well executed. In addition, the focus also includes innovating or reinventing one of your company's business functions.
